I\u2019m going to take you guys through how to declutter your closet like a true boss! <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It is that time a year, ladies and gentleman, and to be quite honest with everything going on (social distancing and self quarantining), you have PLENTY of time. Yes, you already know some hacks\u2014if you haven\u2019t worn it in a year, toss<\/strong><\/span> it. And like every tired old piece of one-size-fits-all advice, there are gaping holes in the logic. That old rule doesn\u2019t account for what you do with, say, an heirloom fur coat or a truly unique designer piece\u00a0that you know\u00a0you\u2019ll wear, but just don\u2019t have use for regularly.<\/p>\n

I used the steps mentioned and I honestly knocked out purging my closet with about 3 hours. Now, I know it can be done in less time, but I am very picky. I\u2019m giving you all not only my key steps, BUT an addition free cheatsheet that you can use.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Treat your wardrobe like a capsule collection. <\/strong><\/h4>\n

Sure, you may love the colorful array of clothes greeting you every time you open your closet, but how often do you still wear that bright yellow shirt? Beth Zeigler of Bneato Bar said it best: \u00a0\u201cEssentially, it should be 30-40 pieces of clothing that can be mixed and matched to create a feast of outfits, and those number include shoes\u201d.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Ask the really hard questions. <\/strong><\/h4>\n
